Day 30.2 - Alarm Bells at the Revolving Restaurant

So we thought it would be a wonderful idea to have cocktails and some lovely nibbles for an early dinner at the revolving restaurant to watch the sunset.  I'm back to the romance v's reality here, what should have been this lovely experience was almost anything but.

Negative Experience Points:
1. The Air Conditioner is not working, with the sun blaring in and all that glass it is literally a sweat box up there.
2. Shelley is seated with her back to what bit of view their was, but at least she didn't have sun glaring straight into her eyes as Chris and I did.
3. From the front of the restaurant where the ocean view is, we were seated about 1/4 of a rotation from the front, so we have 3/4 of the revolution to get back to the see the lovely ocean view.
4. By the time we get back to the ocean front view the sun has set and it is dark.
5. Food was so so, nothing to write home about (even though I am on this blog)
6. Sitting in our pools of sweat we've called for the cheque, it's around now the fire alarm and the flashing lights go off.  At 7.40pm on a Friday night NO ONE seemed to be paying any attention to this alarm. We scooted out of there as quick as possible, catching the lift back to the ground hoping that we'd managed to beat the fire. The alarm was going off through out the entire building.  A chap got into the lift around the 14th floor and I asked him if he worked in the building to which he answered "yes" and he seemed very composed.  I asked him "is normal for this alarm to be going off?" to which he replied "ah yes, it will go off every couple of weeks or at least once a month."  And that was that, we too composed ourselves.

Positive Experience Points:
1. They kept topping our iced cold water up at great speed (trying to compensate for the broken air conditioner).

Before the alarm bells went off, we spotted the security guard up on the roof cooling off.  I think he may have been airing out his sweaty doogs (don't forget it was stifling hot in that restaurant)
